Web Application Development for Startups

Building a web application isn't just a frontend problem. It's architecture decisions, API design, state management, authentication, deployment, and a hundred smaller choices that compound into either a maintainable product or a source of drag. SynS Infrastructure takes the whole stack — React/Next.js on the frontend, a backend that can actually grow, and a deployment setup you won't need to rewrite in six months.

Continuous staging previews from Sprint 1 with clean architectural handovers.

Who this is for

  • 01A seed-stage founder with a validated idea and a designer mockup, who needs the first working version built and deployed.
  • 02A small team that built a V1 internally and needs a contractor to take over feature development while they focus on sales.
  • 03A CTO who has one too many services to maintain and needs a reliable external pair for a specific build.

What's included

  • ✓Scoping session and architecture review before a line of code is written
  • ✓React/Next.js (App Router) frontend — typed, tested, and production-ready
  • ✓Server-side logic: API routes, Server Actions, or a separate backend depending on the problem
  • ✓Database integration — Postgres/Supabase, MongoDB, or whatever the project calls for
  • ✓Auth — email/password, OAuth, or magic link via a battle-tested provider
  • ✓Deployment on Vercel (or your existing infrastructure), with CI/CD from day one
  • ✓Handover with documentation: what the system does, how to run it, and where the sharp edges are

Stack & tooling architecture for Web Application Development for Startups.

Why we choose each component in the production runtime.

Next.js (App Router)

SSR, SSG, and Server Actions in one framework — reduces the surface area of the stack

TypeScript

Strict mode on. Types are documentation that the compiler actually checks.

Tailwind CSS

Utility-first — fast to build, easy to hand over to a designer-developer

Supabase / Postgres

Managed Postgres with a good SDK. Auth and realtime if needed.

Vercel

Zero-config deployments, preview environments, edge functions out of the box

How this discipline executes.

01

Scope & Architecture

Define exactly what gets built, what doesn't, and milestone criteria — in writing, before work starts.

02

Iterative Staging

Weekly written updates with staging deployments from the first sprint. Test features as they are built.

03

Handover & Ownership

100% repository, credentials, and documentation handed over. Retainers available for ongoing evolution.

Questions & answers for this discipline.

Do you work from Figma designs or do you design as you build?+

Both. If you have designs, we build from them precisely. If you don't, we can work from a brief and produce a working UI — but we'll be explicit that it's functional-first, not a replacement for a dedicated design engagement.

Who owns the code when the project is done?+

You do. Full IP transfer is standard in every project agreement. The repo is yours from the first commit.

Will you sign an NDA?+

Yes. We sign mutual NDAs as a standard part of the project agreement.

What happens if the scope changes mid-build?+

Changes are scoped in writing before work starts on them. The project agreement includes an explicit out-of-scope list so neither side is surprised. Additions go through a quick re-scope — not a verbal agreement.
